Located in Southeast Asia, Thailand is filled with fantastic scenery, marvelous beaches, colorful night markets, and a thriving nightlife. Outside of its natural beauty and vibrant cities, the country also has a rich cultural heritage – made evident by the glimmering temples that dot the country, the exciting festivals and exotic food, as well as the gracious, kind people who are ready to welcome you with their warm smiles. Also, the country has served as a business hub due to its strategic location for centuries. It truly is a destination that has something for everyone.
In recent decades, Thailand has seen explosive economic growth and a large rise in living standards. Today, the country has some of the most modern infrastructures that rival those of Western countries. While the growth has undeniably caused prices to rise, Thailand still remains one of the most affordable countries to live in, and renting property is definitely the top choice for those who want to live, do business, or simply enjoy a holiday under its tropical sun.
Thailand is home to over 69 million people, with around 8 million people living in its capital city; Bangkok. While Bangkok is the most developed city in Thailand and its skyline is filled with modern high-rise buildings, it still manages to maintain its historical architecture and traditions that date back hundreds of years. Thousands of expatriates choose to live in this city due to its stable economy and relative ease of doing business.
A couple of hours southeast of Bangkok, you can find the famous beach town of Pattaya, which has seen significant growth in recent years as more and more investors continue to build new property development. Pattaya’s sandy white beaches and sublime water are perfect for those looking for a relaxed lifestyle. Besides the sun and the sea, the city draws expats from all around the world for its nightlife and lower cost of living (when compared to Bangkok) despite its popularity.
Chiang Mai is another popular area both for tourists and expats alike. Surrounded by green hills and mountains, this city is popular for its laid-back lifestyle and cultural sites. In this city, you can find a variety of cafes, nightclubs, beautiful temples, and historical pagodas, such as Doi Suthep.
If it’s the island life you are looking for, Phuket is possibly the most popular choice. Called the ‘Pearl of the Andaman Sea,’ Phuket truly lives up to its hype. You can find turquoise waters around the dazzling white beaches and indulge in its stunning scenery.

Condos and apartments come in studio types, one bedroom, two bedrooms, three bedrooms, or more. Apartments can be serviced or not serviced. Condos and serviced apartments are usually available with all sorts of amenities, such as swimming pools, gyms, and private gardens.
Houses, townhouses, and villas are also available around the country, but they are in abundance in areas such as Chiang Mai and Phuket. Villas in Thailand usually come with bigger spaces, private gardens, and a pool.
In Pattaya and Phuket, you may be able to find numerous beachfront properties, but they typically cost a lot more than properties in other areas.
