Thailand is known for its rich culture and friendly people. Thai is the official language, but due to tourism, many people in the country can speak English proficiently.
Located within the tropics, Thailand is warm and humid all year round. The temperatures tend to stay between 28°C and 35°C. The temperatures can soar up to 40°C during the hot season (March to June). The rainy season (July to October) brings heavy rainfall and rising humidity. Due to the weather, bring light clothes. However, remember to avoid wearing revealing clothes, particularly when you are far from the beach.
To stay in the country, you will need a visa. Some people use a tourist visa (valid for 60 days) or a non-immigrant visa (valid for 90 days) to enter the country, these visas can be extended. While a tourist visa can only be extended for 30 days, a non-immigrant visa may be extended for a year.
